Use light mode when coding in the sun

With the first signs of summer it might be tempting to sit with a laptop on a blanket somewhere outside…

…just to see a reflection of yourself, a ton of dust and that stain from the oily keyboard!

Just use light mode!

But there is a fix – use light mode outside:

As you can see with a light theme:

Don’t be scared of light theme!

Contrary to the meme perception of light themes as highly contrasty, very white, eye-burning things, the most popular light themes are not white at all.

I recommend starting with either Solarized or Gruvbox – both are papyrus yellow in light mode. They are widely available for every editor – just search for them!
